Ars Technica runs a piece on Apple’s 2003 performance. It mentions the poor performance on large iPhoto archives and points out that at the coming “Macworld San Francisco [event], expect to see a new version of the iLife suite. Hopefully, any new release will allow for improvements to the performance of iPhoto when working with large photo libraries (a common complaint among iPhoto users).”
